WHY
ARE YOU CALLED SNOWWATER?
We are named after the creek that
runs beside the lodge and supplies bothour drinking water
and the power for our hydroplant. It is also the name of
the closest peak to the lodge.
WHERE
ARE YOU LOCATED AND HOW DO I GET THERE?
Snowwater sits on private land at
5600ft in the Bonnighton mountains, BC. A
3 hour drive from
Spokane,WA, or a 7 hour drive from either Calgary, AB or
Vancouver, BC. For more information on travel see "getting here. "
WHAT
IS INCLUDED IN MY PRICE?
Your trip includes
13,500 vertical ft a day, safety gear, avalanche and beacon training, professional guides, accommodation,
gourmet dining, snacks and all the fun you could want.
IS THERE ALCOHOL AVAILABLE?
We have a full bar and great selection of fine wine
for you to choose from.
If you have special requests we
would be happy to accommodate them. Guests are not permitted to bring alcohol to the lodge. If you would like to bring a bottle of wine there is a $25 corkage fee applied to each bottle. You may bring a max of 2 bottles each.
TIPPING?
Tipping
is customary in this industry to show that you feel you have received exceptional service. Tips can be given in
cash to the individual or put on credit card at the end
of your trip. Guests often ask how much to tip? Generally
15% of your trip total is considered a standard amount. We divide up the tips equally amongst everyone. The longer the trip - the bigger the tip.
HOW MANY PEOPLE PER ROOM?
All guests reside in one of our deluxe guest lodges. Two people share a room with 2 queen size beds, fluffy down duvets, infloor heating and private bathroom.
DO
YOU ACCOMMODATE SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS?
Yes. For an extra fee our chefs can cater to vegetarians,
vegans, low carb, and other special dietary needs. Just
give us advance warning.
WHAT
TYPE OF PAYMENT METHOD DO YOU ACCEPT?
Snowwater accepts Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, certified checks, money orders or wire transfers.
WHAT
IS THE COST OF EXTRA HELI RUNS?
Extra heli runs are $90 each, minimum
of 4 per heli load.
CAN
I GET A MASSAGE?
Massages at Snowwater are given by
certified professionals. Be sure not to miss the experience of a mountain massage.
1⁄2 massage - the quickie- $60
1hr massage - the rejuvinator - $90
11/2 hr massage - the endulger- $135
HOW DOES THE SNOWCAT BACK UP WORK?
If we cannot fly due to inclement
weather we go skiing in the cat right out our back door. There are NO DOWN DAYS!
Any vertical in the cat terrain is applied to your overall vertical.
Remember, there are
NO refunds for down days, for being tired or sick, for late sking departures and/or
early returns. Please read terms
and conditions.
HOW
MUCH SKIING DO I GET?
HELI
In the heli, you get 13,500 vertical ft a day of
the most epic terrain you've ever seen. Because helicopter
sking can be so fast you could theoretically ski a huge
amount of vertical in one day. The record is 20 runs in
one day!!!
Extra runs are $90
each, min group of 4 per heli load.
DO
YOU SELL MERCHANDISE?
We have an assortment of clothes,
ski gear and specialty gift items available for purchase in our gift shop at our base location.
DO YOU HAVE FAT SKI AVAILABLE?
Yes. We have a variety of Rossignol fat skis and powder poles for rent. We have a few snowboards. Please be sure to let us know ahead of time so that you get what you want. They are $25/day.
